D1 Wine Production, D2 Wine Business, D4 Sparkling Wines, D5 Fortified Wines - all done!
I passed all 4 exams that I entered last year.
This makes 50% of my diploma in one year. This year I am preparing for D3 Wines of the World and writing a D6 Essay.
It takes a lot of time and effort to get ready for theory. However, the biggest problem for me was the lack of concentration due to news from Ukraine. Turning off my phone for a few hours every day really helped to stay focused.
English is not my first language, so it took much more time for me: to read, take notes and memorize all the information, much more hours than it was recommended by WSET itself. But I really enjoyed every single moment of my time spent on this education.
For D4 and D5 exams I received the support from IWC @internationalwinechallenge Thank you for this support! I am based in Turkey and unfortunately I don’t have access to most Sparkling and Fortified wines here. This bursary gave me the opportunity, together with online studying, to visit offline classes at my school in Benelux. I am 100% sure that I wouldn’t be able to pass the tasting parts of exams without these classes and tastings! Thank you for supporting me!
I am thankful for wise support and all the recommendations to Sybille Troubleyn. This is priceless when you can write to your school even on Saturday night and get a detailed answer in just a few minutes!❤️
I do recommend @winewisebenelux to everybody who is still looking for a DipWSET course provider. Choosing the right school makes a difference!
I also must admit that to receive a bursary makes you feel even more responsible and slightly more nervous about the results of your exams. 😊 When others believe in you, you shouldn't let them down, right?
Last but not least, I want to thank my husband and all friends who supported and helped with blind tastings, delivered rare bottles. Thanks guys and cheers!🥂
